Frequently Asked Questions

NanaVerse, made by Sadhana AI — last updated October 1, 2026

Straight answers about your family's information. For the full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Where your data lives

Where is my data stored?

Your account, your family's content, and the files you upload (photos, recordings, lullabies, diary pages) are stored with our database and file-storage provider, Supabase, in its United States (East) region. Our server functions run on Cloudflare's network; they pass requests along but are not where your content is kept.

When you delete something, it is removed from our database and storage. Backups are kept for up to 30 days for disaster recovery and then removed.

Who can see what I add?

Anything you mark private is visible only to you. Anything you share with a family group is intended for that group. Some entry forms also offer Specific people. Check Who can see this? before saving; do not assume every form starts with the same audience selected.

Our own admin tools show totals and basic account details (like a display name, sign-up date and country) so we can run the service. They don't show the contents of your recipes, diary, photos, recordings or family tree. If you send us feedback or report something, we do read that.

Do you sell my data or show ads?

No. NanaVerse has no advertising and we don't sell your information.

Your voice and recordings

Can my voice be used by other people?

No. A voice model is only created after you give your consent by recording a spoken consent statement, and it is used only to narrate for your own family. It is never public. It is available only to the families that you, as its owner, choose to share it with. The technical identifier for the voice is kept on our servers and is never sent to the app on anyone's phone.

You can withdraw consent at any time. When you do, we delete the voice model from our voice provider and stop using it.

Who is involved in creating a voice?

Voice features use a provider called ElevenLabs to turn recordings into text and to create and play narration. The audio you record for those features is sent to them to do that job. See the provider table in our Privacy Policy.

Are my recordings used to train AI models?

Anthropic, which powers our recipe, diary and translation features, does not use content sent through its API to train its models by default. ElevenLabs offers a setting that lets it use submitted audio to improve its models; as of September 2026 we turned that setting off for our account, so content you submit from now on is not used for that. Content submitted earlier is covered by ElevenLabs' terms as they applied at the time.

What happens to a recording I make of a child's voice?

Children do not have independent accounts. An adult controls recording and sharing. Review the recording's audience before saving, and do not create a child's AI voice model. Recording audio and creating a voice model are different actions.

AI and your content

Which features send my content to an AI service?

Only the feature you use. For example, photographing a recipe sends that photo to be turned into a structured recipe, and a voice note is sent to be turned into text. Nothing is sent in the background. If you write or photograph a medical document in your diary, it is processed the same way as any other diary entry and stays in your own private diary.

Is the content screened?

Yes. Text, voice and images that you send to our AI features pass a safety screen before they are processed, to keep the app safe for families. Content you type or upload directly into your own family space is not currently screened in the same way. That screen is not used for advertising.

Children

Is NanaVerse safe for children?

Children do not get independent accounts, passwords or messaging. NanaVerse is operated through adult accounts. Supervise use of a signed-in device: this is not a restricted child mode. Adults should check the audience before sharing content about children.

Your control

Do you track what I do in the app?

We record a small amount of usage information so we can keep the app running well: which kind of device you use, when you were last active, and which screens are opened (from a fixed list — never what you write, record or keep). Usage events never include the content of anything you or your family add, including anything about children. Usage events are deleted after 90 days.

You can turn this off at any time in Profile → App settings → Help improve NanaVerse. We don't sell this information or use it for advertising.

How do I delete something?

In the app, open Profile → My Content to make items private again or to permanently delete one item or everything at once.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile → Danger Zone → Delete my account. Your account and everything you own are scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days later, so you can change your mind and cancel any time before then. You can also use our account deletion page on the web.

How do I report a problem or a person?

Use Report a concern on any story, or Report on a family member's profile. These go to our safety team directly. You can also reach us from the support page.
