Family recipe guide
How do I keep a family recipe beyond a handwritten card?
NanaVerse's recipe workflow helps organise a recipe into ingredients, measurements and steps. Keep the original card or recording, then check the organised version with the person who knows the dish.
Capture the details that matter
Include ingredient amounts, cooking order and the small cues a family cook uses: texture, colour and when to stop. Do not expect AI to recover missing quantities or reliably read unclear handwriting.
Use the recipe flow
- Sign in, select your family and open Recipes. Choose the add-recipe control.
- Type or paste the recipe, speak it using the capture control, or add a clear photo of the handwritten card. Check the transcription before continuing.
- Select a language and choose Format with Paati AI in the current English interface.
- Review Ingredients, Steps and any notes against your original. You can change the title and category on this screen. If the ingredients or steps are wrong, use Back to the original, correct the input and format again.
- Under Who can see this?, choose Only me, A family group or the intended people. The form also offers a Public option; do not choose it for a private family recipe.
- Choose Save recipe. Open it from Recipes and verify the saved details.
What the AI does—and what you check
The formatting step organises your input. It does not certify food safety, verify allergies or establish that a recipe is historically authentic. Check quantities, names and translation choices before using or sharing the result. Original recordings and AI-created text are different records; keep your originals where they matter.
Availability and access
The public NanaVerse website describes recipe capture from text, voice and photographs. Check that your app shows this recipe form before following the steps. Available controls may differ by version or platform; contact support if it is missing.
NanaVerse is available on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. The store downloads are free, with in-app purchases. Apple lists an optional AIPaati Membership for full family access. Check the offer in your app for current terms and feature access; a free download does not mean every feature is free.
Keep the wider story
Ask who taught the recipe and when your family prepares it. Add those details to the input rather than relying on AI to invent the background. A separate family song recording can preserve another part of the occasion. See the family-heritage guide for a simple starting workflow.
